Bingham Group CEO Speaks with Austin Youth Council

Last Thursday Bingham Group CEO A.J. Bingham spoke with Austin Youth Council students about his career path to lobbying and starting his own firm (en route to RECA’s Knockout Night Gala, hence the tux).

The Youth Council is made up of about 85 high school students who represent the majority of the high school population of the City of Austin including students from Austin ISD and surrounding public school districts, as well as charter schools, parochial schools, private schools, and homeschooled students.

The Council is structured as a general assembly with 10 elected council members that represent each of the 10 districts. Members meet once a month and discuss issues concerning youth as well as listen to presentations from City staff and outside organizations in the city.
