OVERVIEW
The Austin City Council will take up discussion and possible action at its February 15th meeting regarding a resolution (Item 24) calling for the creation of municipal artificial intelligence (AI) policy guidelines.
ITEM 24
Among other directives to the City Manager, the resolution calls for the guidelines to include (but are not limited) to the following principles:
Innovation and Collaboration
Data Privacy and Security
Transparency
Explainability and Interpretability
Validity and Reliability
Bias and Harm Reduction
