The Bingham Group Associate Internship program provides broad exposure to the municipal and state lobbying industry with in­-depth training and continuous, hands-­on learning through immersion in firm planning and client projects.


Rebecca Ihim (Current)

Now: Productions Intern, The Bingham Group, LLC

Rebecca was born in Nigeria where she spent her childhood years. She left Nigeria at a young age to the United Kingdom where she went to Secondary school in Scotland. She’s been in America for the past 7 years and is currently a Senior at the University of Texas of Austin, majoring in Radio, Television and Film. 
Rebecca is a director, photographer and film maker. She is currently directing her debut feature film “No Strings.” She previously worked for the NGO International missions outreach as the creative director and cinematographer. She has worked as a videographer and photographer for Knoxville International Network in Tennessee, STEM Camp of fellowship Christian academy in Dallas, Planetshakers Austin, Dreamers Church Creative Team and Cactus Yearbook at UT Austin. She runs her personal Photogrpahy business in Austin, Texas.



Now: Community Engagement Intern, The Bingham Group, LLC

Stephen is a senior at Texas State University at San Marcos, majoring in political science with a minor in political communications. Originally born in Mesa, Arizona, Stephen grew up in Houston, Texas and finally settled into Austin his senior year of high school. He started his college career majoring in Software Engineering. Today, his interest in technology is still strong, but he later found his true passion was in politics and communication.

Stephen, while at Texas State, has taken part in the Eugene Scassa Model Organization of American States (ESMOAS) and the Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) competitions. He has interned for Paul Saldaña since January 2019.


Julie Potrykus (former)

Now: Associate, The Bingham Group, LLC

Julie has spent the past 4 years in Austin involved in political communications, public relations, media relations, community engagement, government affairs, and public policy. Julie previously interned for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Kopser for Congress campaign, the University of Texas System Office of Governmental Affairs, U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett’s district office, Texas Democratic Party, and State Representative Ryan Guillen’s capitol office.

Julie handles the company's social media, content creation and client communication. With Bingham Group's newest venture, BG Media Group, Julie served as Executive Producer for the company's first podcast series, where she oversaw production, promotion and placement.


Logan Cheney (Former)

Now: Potomac Strategy Group, LLC, Account Executive

Logan graduated The University of Texas at Austin in May of 2018 majoring in Political Communication. A San Antonio native, he most recently interned for a state lobby firm during the 85th Legislative Session. 


Garrett Auzenne (Former)

Now: Legislative Director, State Rep. Ramon Romero Jr. (D-Fort Worth)

Garrett graduated the University of Texas School of Law in May of 2018. A Houston native, he interned for a state-wide trade association during the 85th Legislative Session. Prior to the trade association, Garrett interned with the Federal Communications Commission in Washington D.C. and worked at Google for four years in Austin and New York City. He received his B.A. from Morehouse College.
